San Miguel de Allende .- Through different media, information about Peleas de Gallos (Cock Fights) in the community of La Talega circulates, these events lack institutional permits, in addition the local government clarified that permits have not been provided for this type of activity, and If detected, those who are found attending may be detained for up to 36 hours.
The invitation was for December 11, 19 and 26, the events are supposed to take place in the community of La Talega, to the north of the SMA municipality, however, the municipal government reiterated its commitment to preserve the health of San Miguel residents, therefore and in accordance with the regulations approved in session of the City Council No. 68, those attending these clandestine events could be detained for up to 36 hours, as indicated by the Municipal Authorities.
The regulation approved by the City Council on Monday, December 7, prohibited the celebration of public or private events, as well as religious festivities of any kind until further notice.
