The PRI candidate for the municipal presidency of San Miguel de Allende, Mauricio Trejo Pureco, officially became elected mayor upon receiving his proof of majority, which accredits him as the winner of the 2021 election.

Trejo Pureco promised to work very hard with Governor Diego Sinhue, and with the President of the Republic. “We are going to work closely with the Secretary of Public Security Alvar Cabeza de Vaca and with the Attorney General, Carlos Zamarripa,” Trejo said.

“I also want to thank the other candidates who had the courage, the civic height of having recognized our triumph, I want to tell them that I will need them to be able to begin the reconstruction of the social fabric and for us to return to the good times,” added Trejo Pureco.

He recognized the other political parties and guaranteed them respect “we are going to work together with all those who want to work in a clean and honest way. It seems like we are not going to be afraid of the insecurity, and we will take advantage of a booming economy ”.
