Authorities in Guanajuato said that two individuals who were present during the incident that resulted in the execution of six people at a children’s party in León.

Security officials in the state of Guanajuato said that two males who were present during the incident that resulted in the deaths of 6 persons at a children’s party in the city of León were the intended targets.

Sophia Huett, executive secretary of the State Public Security System, noted that the attack was not random and that there are signs of a struggle between two criminal organizations for control of the local retail sale of narcotics.

“To be clear, what I can say about it is that it is part of what we have; I have been commenting on the subject of criminal rivalry and, in this case, a very direct aggression. Tell you that it is not a random attack, it is not something that can happen randomly to society in general.” he stated.

It should be recalled that at around 12:40 a.m. on Sunday, two motorbikes carrying armed men pulled up behind a property on Costas del Mar Caspio street in the city of Santa Mara de Cementos de la Leon. The home was the target of gunfire.

The tragedy resulted in six fatalities and eight injuries.

The deceased victims’ remains had already been given to their relatives. It is well known that the funeral cats have the assistance of the León city administration.
