San Miguel de Allende.- Members of the San Miguel de Allende Volunteer Fire Department took an accident prevention course in vehicle rescue. During this course, they recreated realistic scenarios for further learning that allows them to act in situations of extreme risk.

It was in charge of the Gene Mahoney Academy at the facilities of the central fire station of San Miguel de Allende. The training was for 36 members of the Fire Department of Dr. Mora, San Luis de La Paz, and San Miguel de Allende. The purpose is to standardize action criteria in the matter of vehicular rescue.

It was an unusual course because realistic scenarios were recreated so that the smoke swallowers had a better understanding of the contingency and thus can make decisions under pressure.

The instructor who led the workshop belongs to the Guanajuato capital fire department; it is about César José Alvarado Gutiérrez.

It should be noted that the fire station has a dedicated space for this type of training. Firefighters receive training at the San Miguel Fire Department, which has a history of contacts with other organizations in Guanajuato, Mexico and even the United States.

According to the Sanmmiguelense firefighters, the board will seek to bring more of this type of training so that rescuers in the area are better prepared and can attend to any contingency with greater professionalism.
