Mayor Mauricio Trejo Pureco promoted the municipality of San Miguel de Allende with the productive sector of Italy for future investments.
The municipality of San Miguel de Allende hosted the Congress of Italian Chambers of Commerce of North America on April 2 and 3.
All the Italian Chambers of Commerce located in Mexico , the United States and Canada participated in this event.
Trejo said that in San Miguel de Allende they have not chosen the strategy of going to Europe , Asia or other continents to attract investment, “but rather take advantage of the fact that San Miguel de Allende is already well known worldwide as a tourism magnet”.
San Miguel is being promoted through seminars, master conferences and B2B meetings that contemplate nearshoring as a prime activity. Strategicaly locating the closest destination to move the merchandise to its final destination, with a short production chain and capable of maintaining its permanent distribution.
During the Italian companies’ summit, the economic benefits of San Miguel de Allende were presented as the best option for the installation of new companies that require local labor, which generates new jobs.
We want to generate an economic spill through companies that need inputs and can find them here in the region and that necessarily need at least 70% local hand labor”, Mauricio Trejo concluded.
