Her name is Lisa Lee Wink, she is a Canadian woman who for more than 15 days has been stranded in the airport of Cancun, Quintana Roo, although for the moment the reasons why she has not been able to return to her country of origin are unknown.

According to the workers of the terminal 3 of the airport, the woman just walks, sits, goes in and out of the terminal, as Jaime Zetina, baggage handler of the air terminal, tells us:

“She disappears, comes and goes in the terminals, many colleagues bring her a sandwich, there are those who bring her some water, you can’t talk to her much because she tends to scream”.

She covers her own expenses at the airport

Other employees also mention that she follows a normal life since she also buys her own coffee and breakfast, Aldo Emerth, also a baggage handler, commented

“She has been here for a few days now, she has all the appearance of being a visitor and passenger, we have noticed that we see her here every day and we see that she spends her money, buys her coffee, and eats her breakfast inside the terminal”.

The Canadian embassy informed that they are aware of the situation, but did not want to give more details of the case, while the reason why she has not been able to leave Mexican territory, even though she has papers in order, is unknown.
