The Secretary of Health of Guanajuato announced that it is working on the prevention and care of cases in the most affected municipalities, in which Silao de la Victoria heads the list with 45 cases of dengue, followed by San Miguel de Allende where until now 24 cases have been presented, in Celaya 5, in Irapuato 4, in León 3 and in the municipalities of Acámbaro, Apaseo el Grande, Cortázar and Romita they already have one case each.

In the state so far, no deaths or serious hospitalized patients have been reported, since in Mexico 18 thousand serious cases have already been reported, of which 45% have alarm signs.

If they are not attended to on time, they may die, which is why in Silao, San Miguel de Allende, and the rest of the state, epidemiological surveillance is sought to be very active.

Two important factors increase the risks of increased cases: rain and heat; Therefore, it is recommended to use mosquito nets in your homes and use repellent daily.

Dengue is not transmitted from person to person, it is through the bite of the mosquito, so health authorities invite the population to avoid having objects or places that allow water to stagnate, which is where the mosquito reproduces.

Fogging campaigns will also begin to eliminate mosquitoes, but they assured that this is not the solution and does not guarantee eliminating them, the best thing is to prevent them from reproducing.
