The events took place on Tarimoro Street, near the corner of Irapuato Street, Colonia Santa Cruz de la Paz.

On Saturday morning, September 28, residents of the Santa Cruz de la Paz neighborhood reported to the emergency system the discovery of a lifeless person on Tarimoro Street, almost on the corner with Irapuato, so municipal police units immediately responded to the report.

The officers arrived on the scene indicating that there was a lifeless person apparently with injuries caused by firearm projectiles, so they cordoned off the area and notified the Guanajuato prosecutor’s office so that the agents could go and carry out the corresponding investigation.

The National Guard and the Mexican Army also arrived at the scene, who came to support the protection of the area.

Criminal investigation agents began the investigation and collected evidence to help clarify the incident. The man’s body was taken to the forensic medical system to perform the corresponding legal autopsy and add the result to the investigation file.

Through a statement, the Guanajuato State Attorney’s Office confirmed the events that occurred in the San Rafael neighborhood on the night of September 27, where a man was shot and killed on Aldama Street.

The man was identified as Mario Eduardo “N”, alias “El Cata”, who had injuries caused by a bullet fired by a firearm, indicating that they continue with the investigations to clarify what happened.
