President Claudia Sheinbaum announced a 12% increase in the minimum wage for 2025

After an agreement with the National Commission for Minimum Wages (Conasami), the Secretary of Labor and Social Security, Marath Baruch Bolaños López, reported that minimum wages will have a 12% increase in 2025.

In the Free Zone of the Northern Border, the salary will go from 374.89 pesos to 419.88 pesos, and in the General Minimum Wage Zone, it will go from 248.93 pesos to 278.80 pesos.

At the beginning of the morning conference this Wednesday, President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo highlighted that businessmen and the labor sector reached this agreement yesterday, “we have reached an agreement, a good agreement.”

Marath Baruch Bolaños indicated that the 12% increase in minimum wages throughout the country is decreed, which will come into effect as of January 1, 2025. She indicated that the objective is to achieve a minimum wage that meets the 2.5 basic baskets.

“This 12% increase in minimum wages for the entire country is announced. It was unanimous and it shows that the basis of the well-being of a people is the vision of shared prosperity, where there is a fair Mexico for all,” concluded President Claudia Sheinbaum.
