Hotels, restaurants, and terraces closed down in San Miguel de Allende due to irregular permits
The government closed hotels, restaurants, and terraces in San Miguel de Allende for operating without permits. The businesses were looking to take advantage of the high season.
A dozen establishments have been closed by the municipal government of San Miguel de Allende after it was detected that they were operating without the corresponding permits.
Among the closed businesses, which opened recently, are hotels, restaurants, and terraces that began operations in November to take advantage of the long weekends and the December holiday season.
The ten establishments remain with “Suspension of activities” seals while they regularize their situation.
Mayor Mauricio Trejo stressed that irregular businesses represent a risk for the inhabitants of San Miguel de Allende and tourists, which is why these permit verification operations were implemented.
