San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, distinguished as the Best Small City in the World, a magical destination that combines history, art, and culture in an environment full of charm, characterized by its cobblestone streets, colorful colonial facades, and a rich artistic tradition that is reflected in its galleries and markets.

In addition to being recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, thanks to its warm atmosphere, culture, and commitment to heritage preservation, it is an unmissable tourist destination that enchants those who visit it.

San Miguel de Allende not only has an interesting history, exquisite gastronomy, and traditional architecture; it has also been home to talented artists such as Daniel Valero, Mexican architect,t and designer, founder of Mestiz Studio, noted for the creation of furniture and decorative objects that fuse local artisan traditions with elements of Mexican flora and fauna.

With the help of Turismo San Miguel de Allende, this January 20, Valero came to Madrid to the International Tourism Fair with an immersive art experience entitled Deriva Floral; This exhibition, born from her vision of the town, seeks to pay tribute to the essence of San Miguel de Allende; inspired by walks through its streets, evoking those moments when we find facades full of bougainvillea overflowing from the balconies and the warm colors that bathe every corner of the town.

This exhibition is intended to invite everyone who is in Madrid to visit a place where the diversity of flowers and textures recreates the charm of the streets of San Miguel de Allende. Each of these unique pieces was designed and hand-woven in wicker in the Mestiz Studio workshop, celebrating the artisan tradition of the Mexican Bajío that defines our culture.

During FITUR, San Miguel de Allende was present in different activities, including the opening cocktail, presentations of the destination, promoting the wonderful destination in interviews with different media, and closing business meetings.

With these actions, it is hoped that each visitor can get to know a little piece of the magic of San Miguel de Allende, reinterpreted and experienced from the heart of Madrid.
