San Miguel de Allende, Gto. With a comprehensive vision that fuses sports, culture, and the environment, the municipal president Mauricio Trejo inaugurated the Sports Forest, the largest sports unit, located in the upper part of the city.

The complex, which covers 42 hectares, was transformed from a rubble dump into a multifunctional space that now combines reforestation, sports, and recreational areas, positioning itself as a reference in social and ecological infrastructure.
The complex includes:
- Sports facilities
- Five tennis courts.
- Two pickleball courts.
- A paddle tennis court.
- Two multipurpose courts (basketball, 7-a-side soccer, and indoor soccer).
- More than 4 km of illuminated walkways for walking, running, jogging or skating.
- A skating rink designed for the local community.
- Recreational areas:
- 4.5 hectares of green spaces for family time.
- The “Fountain of the Artisans,” in honor of local talents.
- Cultural spaces:
- San Carlos Forum (Acoustic Shell): Renovated and reinforced to host cultural events with a capacity for 5,000 people.
- Canoeing activities: At the Bordo San Carlos, which will connect with the Manuel Clouthier Park in Palmita de Landeta.
- Complementary infrastructure:
- Parking with capacity for 317 vehicles, including 10 spaces for buses.
- The “Baby Vázquez” Sports Module
The facility will operate from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., with specific hours for the sports fields.
More sports areas and cultural events are planned in this space, for the comprehensive development of the community.
With the opening of the Sports Forest, San Miguel de Allende adds two municipal sports units and consolidates its state leadership in social, environmental, and cultural development, improving the quality of life of its inhabitants.
