The attack was near the community of Corralejo.
A man lost his life on Tuesday night after being attacked with a firearm on the San Miguel de Allende-Querétaro highway, near the community of Corralejo.
The incident occurred around 10 pm when residents of the area reported gunshots to the emergency number 911. Immediately, members of the Municipal Police and a Red Cross ambulance went to the site. Upon arrival, the paramedics examined the man, but unfortunately, he no longer showed vital signs.
Given the seriousness of the incident, the State Attorney General’s Office was notified to begin the corresponding investigations. In addition, members of the State Public Security Forces and the National Guard came to protect the area and prevent the alteration of the crime scene.
Criminal Investigation Agents have collected evidence that could help clarify the motive of the attack. Although the first versions indicate that it could be an assault with aggression, it will be the Prosecutor’s Office that determines the exact cause of the homicide and those responsible for the crime.
