San Miguel’s Ignacio Ramírez “El Nigromante” Cultural Center presents its second edition of the Sacred Art Exhibition, an event that seeks to rescue and strengthen an artistic tradition that was on hold for a long time.

On this occasion, the exhibition features the participation of 18 artists, who exhibit a diversity of techniques and styles.

Laura Bustos, director of the Cultural Center, highlighted the growth of the event, pointing out that this year the number of participating artists doubled compared to the first edition.

The exhibition stands out for the diversity of its techniques, including wood carving, metalwork, engraving, goldsmithing, painting, and sculpture.

“It is a very San Miguel de Allende exhibition, and all those who visit it will be impressed by the talent of the artists, both from the old school and the young ones who join with innovative proposals,” added Bustos.

One of the most anticipated moments of the event will take place on Viernes de Dolores, when the image of the Virgin Dolorosa, created by the artist Oscar Daniel Reyes, will be displayed in a window of the cultural center for the visit of the faithful and art lovers.

Reyes, who is participating for the second consecutive year, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to be part of this project.

The artist also recognized the influence of his teachers in his career, especially the Almanza family.

The exhibition will be open to the public until May 11, with free admission from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. An unmissable opportunity for those who wish to appreciate sacred art in all its splendor and support local talent.
