In a country like Mexico, where soccer is undoubtely the most popular sport by far; the city of San Miguel de Allende, recently designated “Best City in the World” by Travel + Leisure readers, must have a professional soccer team.
Maybe that’s why, the San Miguel de Allende International (Internacional de San Miguel de Allende), which will be participating in the Mexican Third Division professional soccer league, made an official presentation of its players and of the uniform they will wear.
Internacional de San Miguel de Allende will play their first match this weekend, and they already declared that they want to start winning against the Constructores de Gómez Palacio, Durango.
The game will take place on Saturday August 19, it will be the first game as local team for the Internacional de San Miguel de Allende, all the people of San Miguel is invited to the Capi Correa stadium to cheer for their hometown squad, and admission is free.
The goal is to make that this new soccer team generates identification with the Sanmiguelenses and create a sense of ownership and affection towards the name Internacional de San Miguel de Allende.
