The day of the Monarch’s funeral finally arrived –D+10–, at 9:00 in the morning, last Monday, September 19th, Big Ben was heard to announce the state funeral for the queen in Westminster Abbey.

The place welcomed 2,000 guests, among which were members of the Royal family, as well as prime ministers, authorities from the United Kingdom, and heads of state from around the world, including the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Marcelo Ebrard, who was representing Mexico.

By 11:00 a.m. the coffin reached the doors of the temple and the country fell silent as a sign of respect. His remains now lie in King George VI Chapel, Windsor Castle, alongside her father.
