San Miguel de Allende .- The drinking water system of San Miguel announced that in the next 40 years there will be no shortage of water in the San Luis Rey neighborhood and surrounding areas.
With the drilling of the San Luis Rey 3 well, the supply is guaranteed in the Montes de Loreto, Insurgentes , Santa Cecilia, Francisco Villa, and surrounding neighborhoods.
Also, no one ever intends to privatize it. The drilling of a well, which will have an investment of more than 15 million pesos, will be carried out under the supervision of SAPASMA. The work is being carried out on one side of Santa Cecilia avenue.
The works have begun and, according to the system, there are authorizations for the execution of both the federal order and the municipality of San Miguel.
Guaranteed water supply in San Miguel
Official information indicates that this project is one of the most important for the urban sprawl in 2023.
When the San Luis Rey II or Mexiquito II wells fail, there is low pressure, and even shortages in the area.
For this reason, with the drilling of a new well, the placement of conduction lines, and the construction of a tank with a capacity for 1,700 cubic meters of storage, it will be guaranteed that the inhabitants of the area have quality, constant water, and in quantity. every day and at all hours.
SAPASMA announced that if the equipment, or a well fails, there will be enough liquid to satisfy the needs, because in the end the hydraulic network will be interconnected.
He also guaranteed that the work in progress will not interfere with the regular drinking water service for the inhabitants of the area.
