From the National Palace, he detailed that his objectives are to strengthen and consolidate social programs, such as increasing pensions for the elderly and people with disabilities, as well as launching the Welfare Banks (Bancos del Bienstar).
“The second priority is to conclude ongoing projects, completing hydraulic works, dam constructions, finishing hospitals, roads, the Mayan Train, completing the Tulum Airport, concluding the rehabilitation of the railway tracks in the Isthmus, the works in the ports, and modernizing customs,” he explained.
As the third point, he indicated that they will improve “the salary and benefits situation of workers, especially those in the public service.”
In this regard, he mentioned that they have already started by increasing salaries for teachers so that they earn no less than 16,000 pesos, “and we are going to review the pension fund because that was an outrage that was committed.”
