Celaya, Guanajuato.- A wave of violence hit the city once again after the alleged arrest of a criminal leader within the Laja-Bajío area on Sunday, January 7th.
This resulted in the burning of vehicles in addition to the attack on a fire truck that was heading towards the community of Crespo to extinguish the flames of a vehicle.
An officer received several injuries from gunshot wounds and died minutes later while receiving medical attention at a private clinic.
The event occurred around 3:00 in the afternoon on Sunday, January 7, after an alleged confrontation between state public security forces and armed civilians was reported near the Querétaro-Salamanca highway within the perimeter of the community. from San Antonio de Morales belonging to Juventino Rosas, where there was also burning of vehicles in the community of San Antonio towards Villagrán.
Armed men stripped drivers of their vehicles, immediately set them on fire and then fled the scene.
The first event was reported to the 911 emergency system on the Celaya-Juventino Rosas highway near the community of justice belonging to Celaya, where a driver was stripped of his Jetta vehicle with luxury of violence. The unit was abandoned across the road and set on fire.
