The Attorney General of the Republic (PGR) initiated an investigation for crimes against health, after illegal drugs were confiscated during an operation at Querétaro’s International Airport located in the municipality of Colon, on Friday, December 23, 2016.
According to the investigation file, Mexican Army officers were carrying out a preventive routine operation at the air terminal facilities, when they found the durgs.

The cargo was detected by a K-9 unit and using x-ray equipment. The cannabis was inside a box registered under a parcel company from Guadalajara, Jalisco.
The drug had an approximate weight of 240 grams and its destiny was Playa de Carmen, Quintana Roo.
The authorities continued the proper investigations and the drug was kept under custody of the PGR.
