Residents of San Antonio organized a peaceful demonstration to put pressure on local authorities in order to find Maria del Rosario, the 25-year-old who is missing since June 3.
Rosario went to the store and never returned, leaving her two daughters, 4 and 6, at home, who are still waiting for her.
According to Rosario’s mother, she went to the store on June 3, and until today no one has heard or seen anything from her. She said that she filed a complaint with the public prosecutor, but there are no news of her so far.
She said that the demonstration’s objective is to send a message to the authorities, “because over 17 days have passed and they still have not found my daughter”
She emphasized that the Public Ministry has not been very helpful, and therefore she started looking for her daughter herself.
On June 28, around 20 people marched through El Cardo, The Main Garden and stopped by the Municipal Palace of San Miguel with tarps and printed photos of Rosario, demanding action by the authorities.
The girl’s mother, Maria del Rosario Lanten, was received by Mayor Ricardo Villareal and the Secretary of City Hall,
Gonzalo Gonzalez.
