On Wednesday July 6 entrepreneurs from Leon flunked Guanajuato International Airport and its CEO, Enrique Peña Arguelles.

In a meeting with the executives of Pacific Airport Group, members of the Business Coordinating Council rated the terminal with a “5”, on a scale from 1 to 10.

Entrepreneurs got upset because Peña Arguelles tried to fool them taking 2012 data and user surveys that showed ratings with nines and eights.

Victor Roman Flores, president of the Chamber of Commerce said “We got an unpleasant surprise with outdated information from 2012, we told Peña Arguelles the information was no longer useful.”

“The director told us that they did not foresee that the Poliforum, the Inner Harbor and other investment projects were going to increase the number of passengers, he said they could not deal with this situation.  It cannot be possible to have this kind of executives who can’t solve problems ” Roman Flores added.

Gustavo Guraieb Ranth president of CCEL (Business Coordinating Council of Leon) lamented that the information was totally outdated and said that Council members did not agree with surveys results.

The businessmen agreed that the airport needs maintenance on floors, walls and restrooms.

During his presentation, Peña Arguelles reported that out of the total number of users 40% are international, reason why employers demanded higher quality services and greater support from the State Government.
