In Guanajuato, November will be dedicated to “Fashion”

The initiative “November fashion month in Guanajuato” will be promoted by the Secretariat of Sustainable Economic Development (SDES – Secretaría de Desarrollo Económico Sustentable).

This new celebration begins with merge events that will be held during that period, such as ANPIC, the Fashion Industry Fair (FIMODA – Feria de la Industria de la Moda), and the fashion design competition known as: “Creare”, in an effort to potentiate this important sector in Guanajuato.

The goal is to create an integrated fashion concept, develop and promote the work of local designers and companies in this industry, aiming to create innovative trends and showcase the Mexican fashion market worldwide.

An international fashion design contest, will be part of the tenth anniversary of “Creare”. This competition aims to promote and include an added value to a fashion product involving micro, small and medium enterprises of the fashion industry in the state of Guanajuato.

Besides, FIMODA will be released in its third edition, where national and international companies will make “networking” with local entrepreneurs to become their suppliers. National and international brands such as Liverpool, Andrea, Terra, Studio F and Aldo Conti among others, will be participating in this fashion fair.

From November 2 to 4, the 48th edition of ANPIC will take place, featuring 350 companies thath will be exhibiting their products, both raw materials for footwear and leather goods, as well as the automotive and furniture industry.

Finally, a group of local and regional fashion designers will organize runways in public spaces as part of  “November fashion month in Guanajuato”.
