According to the Secretariat of Sustainable Development of Querétaro (SEDESU – Secretaría de Desarrollo Sustentable de Querétaro), Aeroméxico will increase the frequency of flights to five a week between Mexico City and Querétaro International Airport, during the high season, from December 12, 2016 through January 7, 2017.
Initially, this connection (CDMX-QRO) started with two frequencies; in May, 2016 Aeroméxico increased to three.
Additionally, last month, the Mexican airline started using larger aircrafts in order to increase the passenger’s capacity to 76 seats per flight, when it used to be 50.
With this new flight, passengers will be able to fly from Querétaro to Mexico City from Tuesday to Saturday at 6:00 a.m. ; while the flights from Mexico City to Queretaro depart at 10:00 p.m. Monday to Friday.
Currently, the Queretaro International Airport has been positioned as a one of the major terminals in the country.
In a short term, it will be able to become as a HUB, due to its strategic position in the Mexican territory and the boom of its industrial zone.
The strength of Aeroméxico in this region is due to the base of Tech-Ops and the maintenance and repair center that shares with Delta, both settled in Querétaro.
