In 2015, one of the most exclusive restaurants in San Miguel de Allende, Áperi was granted international awards and it was also elected to appear on the “Top Chef Mexico” TV show.

Áperi is a revelation restaurant within hotel “Dos Casas” in San Miguel de Allende, and chef Matteo Salas became even more famous after his excellent role in the “Top Chef Mexico” TV show.

On the second half of 2016, Chef Salas initiated Jacinto 1930, his second gastronomic project in collaboration with his colleague and partner, Alberto Laposse.

Jacinto 1930 was born in San Miguel de Allende to surprise and amaze experts or neophytes alike, with its innovative (yet traditional) gastronomic offer and aesthetics that rescue food preparation techniques based on the most representative Mexican food ingredient: corn.

Jacinto 1930 is located at Calle Relox 14, Centro, San Miguel de Allende; within the inner courtyard of an area that includes galleries, shops, and boutiques.

It is an ode to corn in an informal setting: Tetelas stuffed with beans and covered with Escamoles, Slow-Cooked Pork Tacos, Ceviches and “Esquites” (corn kernels), as you’ve never tried them before.

Jacinto 1930’s ceviche is inspired in the gastronomy of the state of Oaxaca, thanks to the collaboration of Chef Loyola.

Finally, Jacinto 1930 features a carefully selected cocktail menu unlike anything you’ve ever seen.
