International firm Rolls-Royce Civil Aerospace arrives to Querétaro, with the purpose of opening an aeronautical parts plant, according to Governor Francisco Dominguez Servién, who said that with this prestigious British firm, all major companies in the aeronautical sector have a presence in the state.
Dominguez Servién underlined that “Querétaro is one of the Mexican state with larger figures in national and foreign direct investment, not only in the aeronautical and automotive industries, but also in the agricultural sector. “We will become national leaders in tomato production this year”, the governor said.
On an interview, regarding his first annual report as Governor of Querétaro, Dominguez stated: “We are ready to receive the new Rolls Royce facility, a firm leader in the aeronautical indutry worldwide that will bring a significant investment to our state in a few months”.
In addition to this investment, Dominguez announced that during his administration, his government has promoted the opening of several major plants, such as “Safran” a French plant that manufacture turbines and other aeronautical parts for planes and helicopters.
He noted that during his term: “Queretaro will remain as the leader in the aerospace and automotive sectors”, for that matter, his team is working to boost industrial dynamism along the state”.
On the eve of starting a working tour in Asia, Dominguez explained that in a year of his government, foreign direct investment (FDI) amounted to 836 million dollars, and national and international firms continue with the iindustrial expansion across the state of Queretaro.
The impact of aeronautics investment has been around $ 400 million USD, and just Brose Company alone has invested 170 million USD.
Currently, the sixth floor of Safran is under construction, and they are training at least 400 employees.
Finally, on Tuesday October 17, governor Domínguez Servién leaves on a working trip across Asia, visiting South Korea and Japan.
