“Expo Querétaro’s Art, Cheese and Wine Route” (Expo Ruta Arte, Queso y Vino de Querétaro) will be held on Friday 11 and Saturday 12, November featuring different attractions such as art exhibitions, wine tasting, cheese and gourmet products, regional arts & crafts, and more.
Querétaro’s Secretary of Tourism, Hugo Burgos García said that “The expo will take place at the esplanade of the Querétaro Convention Center, where the organizing committee expects approximately 4,000 visitors.
Burgos García said: “Currently, Querétaro is ranked on second in the country for wine production, with almost 3 million bottles a year. In that matter, “Expo Querétaro’s Art, Cheese and Wine Route” is becoming one of the main tourist attractions in the state.”
“For this reason, year after year this exhibition is organized with the goal of promoting products, destinations and attractions along of the route, which includes the municipalities of Tequisquiapan, Cadereyta de Montes, Ezequiel Montes, Pedro Escobedo, El Marqués, San Juan del Río, Colón and Tolimán,” Burgos García continued.
Burgos Garcia added that, this route is the second most important tourist attraction in the state of Querétaro, with 600,000 visitors per year, and generating an economic impact of 700 billion pesos (52 million USD).
Director of Querétaro’s Tourism, Halina Gama Arriaga said: “Expo Route of Art, Cheese and Wine of Querétaro will be featuring diverse modules with culinary art exhibits, wine and cheese from Querétaro’s factories, as well as tour operators who will be offering tours of this important route, and visitors will be able to try the most exotic gourmet products or buy some handicraft.”
“Additionally, we will give all attendees information about the tourist attractions of our municipalities, including the aforementioned route,” the state officer concluded.
