Feria León 2017: from January 13 to February 7

More than six million people are expected to visit the “Feria de León 2017“, which will be held from January 13 to February 7 and will offer a wide array of world-class attractions.

For more than 1,500 hours of free shows in a space of 62 hectares, this event is expected to leave an economic spill of three billion pesos (150 million USD).

This was declared by Gabriel Perez Navarro, president of the Board of the State Fair of Leon and Ecological Park in a press conference, who also stated that this project aims to offer a different option, in which values ​​and family unity are promoted.

With an admission fee of 11 pesos (50 American cents) per person, the public will have the right to enjoy rides, a gastronomic area with more than 200 stands, as well as a covered commercial area with more than 800 exhibitors.

During the 26 days that the fair will last, there will be a large number of concerts at the “Palenque”, one of the most modern arenas in the country, with a capacity for seven thousand spectators.

In addition, the school of ballet of Fine Arts (Escuela de Ballet de Bellas Artes), will be performing and paying tribute to different artists such as Juan Gabriel.

Under the slogan “The Smiles’ Fair” (La Feria de las Sonrisas), visitors will have access to a cattle-raising area where they can acquire high quality beef and pork products.

As a special event this year, there will be 75 performances by the Israeli company “Voca People”, a form of musical theater that features the technique known as “beatvoxing”, that produces music using nothing but the human voice.
