GUANAJUATO – In the state of Guanajuato, the private transport company Uber Mexico, has the largest number of vehicles in operation, with a total of 178 units with active permit from the State Institute of Mobility (Instituto Estatal de Movilidad).
This firm is covering mainly the municipalities of León, Celaya, Guanajuato and San Miguel de Allende, according to a document issued by the State Institute of Mobility, through a request for Access to Information requested by mail.
The data indicates that, during the period from July 2016 to January 2017, state authorities authorized a total of 195 vehicles in order to provide this kind of service, resulting in a total of 32 digital platforms in 10 different municipalities across the state.
Currently, the app “Wigo”, which operates in León, is ranked on second place, while Uber México is first on the list.
136 permits were requested through various taxis organizations to provide the service in Wigo, such as: “Logística de Ejecutivos en el Bajío, S.A de C.V.”; “Servicios y Administración de Transporte, S.A de C.V.”; “Servicios Integrales y Administración Dinámica de Taxis, S.A de C.V.”; “Desarrollo de Transporte de Guanajuato, S.A de C.V.; Agrupación Dinámica de Transporte, S.A de C.V.”; “Agrupación de Taxistas Somos de Primera, S.A. de C.V.”; “Sirviendo a Guanajuato, S.A de C.V.”; “Transportes Integrales y de Vanguardia, S.A de C.V.”; “Asociación de Transportistas de León, S.A de C.V”; “Transportistas Integrados del Bajío, S.A de C.V”; “Viajeros de Prestigio, S.A de C.V.”; “Trasportistas Unidos al Servicio de Guanajuato, S.A de C.V.”; “Líderes de Transporte Ejecutivo en el país”, “Logística en Renta de Autos, S.A de C.V.”, and “Turiscar Operadores, S.A de C.V”.
According to the list of permits granted for this kind of service statewide, ‘Mi Taxi Gto’ is in third place. This provider operates in the municipalities of Guanajuato, León and Silao, with a total of 105 authorized vehicles.
Finally, among the first four companies, “Signia Tecnología GPS” follows in the ranking, with 69 units circulating in Celaya, Guanajuato, Huanímaro and San Miguel de Allende.
