The third edition of ” Museum night” opens in Querétaro

The third edition of the “Museum Night” will be held on Thursday May 18, with sixteen venues in the city of Queretaro, in which twenty-five educational institutions will be featuring dozens of cultural activities.

The head of the Municipal’s Office of Tourism and International Affairs, Esther Carboney Echave, said that the event will take place in the framework of the International Museum Day.

“For this occasion, as part of the tourism promotion projects carried out by the municipality of Querétaro, sixteen locations will open their doors to the public from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., featuring dozens of activities such as workshops for children, exhibitions, theater plays, selling of handcrafts, projections, concerts, guided tours and many more activities for the whole family”, explained Carboney Echave.

In that sense, the official emphasized: “During the “Noche de Museos” third edition, there will be events for children in the Museum of Science “The Pendulum”, concerts of pre-Hispanic music will take place at the Calendar Museum, and for the first time a jazz concert will be offered by the Carol Rolland Foundation, as well”

The official expects approximately 5,700 people to attend this event, that will generate a significant economic impact of more than $600,000 pesos ($30,000 USD).

All activities will be free admission and open to the public.
