Queretaro, Mexico, Jul. 18 (Notimex).- The Technological University of Corregidora (UTC, for its acronym in Spanish) declared itself ready to receive the first Ibero-American Congress on Information and Communication Technologies (Congreso Iberoamericano en Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicaciones), from July 19 to 21.
The rector of the UTC, Arturo Vallejo Casanova, reported that the forum will generate knowledge on innovation and development.
“You cannot understand where we are going if it is not through the Internet, mobile devices, social networks and technological development,” emphasized the university official.
“In that sense”, he said, “it is vitally important to generate spaces and networks to create research and work on information technologies”.
Vallejo Casanova said that experts from Spain, Argentina and Colombia, will be present at Tejeda Cultural Center and that they will significantly contribute with the local community, by sharing their knowledge on Information Technology and Communications.
The rector also pointed out that the students of the participating universities will gain in knowledge and experiences, acquired through the practices that will be carried out during this Congress.
“We expect about 900 attendees, among students and professors from dozens of universities in the country that have already confirmed their presence to this Ibero-American Congress,” he concluded.
