Queretaro, Mexico, Aug. 14 (Notimex).- Querétaro will have three ecological patrol cars this year, which will account for vehicles that are not current in the verification program, authorities confirmed.

The Minister of Sustainable Development, Marco del Prete Tercero, reported that the presence of the Minister of Environment and Natural Resources, Rafael Pacchiano Alamán, is foreseen for the delivery-reception of the units.

“As soon as we receive the ecological surveillance vehicles, they will begin to patrol the metropolitan area of Querétaro to verify the compliance of vehicle owners with the verification program,” said the official.

He said that after the inclusion of Querétaro in the Environmental Commission of the Megalopolis (C.A.M.E, for its acronym in Spanish), it is necessary to adopt different environmental measures, such as the fact that all vehicles in the state must comply with the verification.

“Even in the case of vehicles with license plates from other states, they must comply with the verification,” said Del Prete Tercero.

Del Prete pointed out that currently there is a register of 420,000 vehicles with license plates from Querétaro, plus plates from other states.

In Queretaro there are currently 41 vehicle verification centers in operation, which are connected to the Supervision Center of the Ministry of Sustainable Development (Sedesu, for its acronym in Spanish).
