San Miguel forum tackles Culture and Sustainable Tourism

The Tourism Promotion Council of San Miguel de Allende participated in the Annual Forum of Tourism Actors, which addressed culture and sustainable tourism, as well as tourism entrepreneurship and the “Presentation of a Destination” featuring Quintana Roo as guest state.

In a statement, the tourism secretary of Guanajuato said that the meeting held Monday 25 and Tuesday 26 September at Centro Convenciones La Casona in San Miguel de Allende, brings together representatives of hotels, restaurants, travel agencies, tour operators and of the National Confederation of Commerce, Services and Tourism Chambers (Concanaco Servytur).

He also explained that there are also actors from the tourism sector such as chambers, associations, tourist boards, convention and visitor offices, universities, professors, businessmen, travel agencies, service providers, new entrepreneurs from the region and exhibitors.

The general director of Planning of the Secretariat of Tourism of Guanajuato, Roberto Cardenas Hernández, said at the opening ceremony that this forum comes as a space to strengthen culture tourism in the region and raise awareness of the impact that tourism activity has on the environment.
