In a property located in León, Guanajuato, only 120 kilometers (72 miles), west of San Miguel de Allende, three men were arrested and 180 thousand doses of the drug known as “crystal” secured. The house was customized as a laboratory for the manufacture of synthetic drugs.
Thanks to an anonymous call, the lab was located on Calle 12 of Lomas del Suspiro, on Wednesday September 27 by municipal, state and federal police officers.
The agents saw two suspects entering the site, which was being monitored by agents of Criminal Investigation, Municipal Police, Public Security Forces and the Mexican Army. As soon as the judge granted a search warrant, authorities arrested three men who were inside the estate.
While serachng the premises, police officers found tools and lab equipment, plus a container with more than 180 thousand doses of “crystal”, a stolen vehicle, firearms and useful cartridges.
At around 12 pm, Abelardo, 28; Juan Antonio, 19, and Orlando, 21, were taken out of the house and delivered to the Public Prosecutor’s Office in a police vehicle, where their legal status will be resolved.
The drug, weapons and equipment were confiscated by Criminal Investigation agents, while the property will remain under investigation by the Municipal and State Police.
