Mexican photographer, Uriel Santana, pays tribute to San Miguel de Allende with his exhibition entitled “Latidos de mi tierra” (Heartbeat of my country), which was presented at San Miguel’s Ginocchio gallery.
In a statement, the Tourism Secretariat of Guanajuato reported that “Latidos de mi tierra” depicts iconic places of th city, such as the Canal House, Charco El Ingenio, Atotonilco, the Callejones with Mojigangas and the Santísima Trinidad vineyard.
This exhibition features iconic places, such as Hotel Boutique 1810, Casa Dragones and Casa Cohen, among others.
In this regard, Santana said that “there are places that become part of us and our life history, places where we love, laugh and allow ourselves to be free. The language of photography captures the landscapes of these life scenarios in order to remember and preserve their beauty in our minds. These are places where we feel happy. ”
San Miguel Allende, the destination of cobblestone streets and colonial architecture was the perfect setting for Uriel Santana to express the elegance of Mexico, helped by Mexican celebrities such as Galilea Montijo, Barbara Mori, Montserrat Olivier, Stephanie Sigman, Carlos Rivera, Gonzalo Garcia Vivanco and Diego Amozorrutia
This exhibition is in display until December 15 in the Gallery of the Station of the “Best City in the World”, San Miguel de Allende, where national and international tourists can admire 30 images of the Heart of Mexico.
Octavio Aguilar Mata, undersecretary of Tourism of the state of Guanajuato said: “San Miguel de Allende has been characterized by service, hospitality and gastronomy; it is not a coincidence that it is the favorite place for tourists “.
“This exhibition shows that magical, elegant San Miguel that makes you vibrate and invites you to get to know it through its vineyards, the central plaza or the church of San Miguel Arcangel, among many other attractions,” Aguilar Mata concluded.
