LEGO, the Danish family-owned company based in Billund, Denmark, best known for the manufacture of interlocking plastic bricks has announced that it will open its first certified store in Mexico.
In Facebook, LEGO Mexico made the announcement in Spanish: “Coming soon! First LEGO Store in Mexico.”

The First LEGO Store in the country will feature the famous “Pick-A-Brick” wall which is a service provided at LEGO retail stores where particular elements are stored in containers on a wall. Customers can buy as many elements off the wall as can fit into a plastic cup for a fixed price.

Last April, Bali Padda, former CEO of The LEGO Group assured that Mexico is a key market for LEGO since one-third of the global demand is produced in Monterrey and more than 30 million children live in the country.
