San Miguel de Allende, Gto.- Earlier this month, during a work tour through the municipality of San Miguel de Allende, the Governor of the State of Guanajuato, Miguel Márquez Márquez, delivered and inaugurated works on road infrastructure, electrification, commercial, educational and care for the elderly where more than 40.4 million pesos are being invested.
As part of the Strengthening Program to Centers of Social Supply “Mi Plaza”, the Governor delivered the roof of a part of the Municipal Tianguis de San Miguel de Allende, also known as “tianguis de los martes” for which 3 million pesos were invested: 1, 800, 000 were state contribution, 600,000 from the Municipality and 600,000 more, from the local merchants.
The governor also delivered the expansion of the electrification network and the modernization of the 1st stage of Calle “No me olvides” and started the 2nd stage of this same road, in Colonia Jardines II, which will connect the Conspiradores boulevard (exit to Querétaro ) with Avenida Alcocer; In both stages, 27.8 million pesos are bieng invested.
The road has a length of 1.6 kilometers, of which, in the first stage, 540 meters were paved, garrisons and sidewalks were made, sanitary and rain drainage, drinking water supplies and public lighting, a concrete slab based bike path, and road signs. In the second stage 780 meters will be paved and during its construction, 95 jobs will be generated.
Later, the Governor placed the first stone of a school on Calle Ecologistas of Colonia Palmita de Landeta, to expand educational spaces in this municipality; more than 5.6 million pesos will be invested to build an administration building, 3 classrooms, rest rooms, drinking fountains, the perimeter fence and the access portico.
This will benefit 105 students who will soon take classes in this campus that adds to the 188 new schools that have been created in the State during the current administration.
By 2018, the State Government delivered support for the development of San Miguel de Allende of more than 62.43 million pesos to apply in 21 different works. In the educational infrastructure, more than 30, 430,000 million pesos will be invested in 14 pre-school, primary and secondary schools in the urban and rural areas.
A few meters from the high school construction site, Miguel Márquez Márquez also placed the first stone of what will be a Gerontological Center to serve the Elderly of San Miguel de Allende where , with a 4,000,000 pesos state and municipal resources investment, and very soon this space will add to the 54 Gerontological Centers located in the 46 municipalities of the state.
Marquez endorsed the San Miguel people’s commitment to maintain government programs and works that encourage the people of Guanajuato to a better quality of life.
