The Governor Elect of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo recently visited Singapore to learn how they coordinate world trade in that Asian country.
“Our interest is to know in depth the logistics in this world-class port, see how they coordinate world trade in this country, their logistic development has made them one of the most important economies globally, and we want to learn from successful models,” said Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo , through a press release.
Thomas Bourrea, director of PSA Singapore, showed Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo the operations of the port and some of the logistics maneuvers.
The governor-elect also met with representatives of the Singapore Cooperation Enterprise, an office created by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore.
“We also had meetings with directors of tourism companies, there is a great interest in tourism, not everyone prefers the beach, there is interest in destinations such as Guanajuato capital or San Miguel de Allende, and Asian tourism is a very big market,” said Rodríguez Vallejo.
Finally, the press release reported that the hotel sector of Singapore has its eyes on Guanajuato as a possible place of investment.
