Vineyards of San Miguel de Allende, come and live the experience

Besides being one of the most beautiful destinations in all of Mexico, San Miguel de Allende, the jewel of the state of Guanajuato, is also becoming very well known for its vineyards and the excellent wines that are produced in the region.

The San Miguel Times suggests you to organize a trip with your family or your friends, and come to discover these wonderful enologic cultural sites.



Vínicola Toyan has 10 hectares of vineyards, planted with Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Pinot Noir, an impressive aging cellar 14 meters underground, a tasting area and a kitchen that offers fresh breakfasts made with organic products. It is located on the San Miguel de Allende-Querétaro highway at km 8.5.

Tour: minimum 2 people. Guided tour of vineyards, organic area, wine, champagne, wine tasting and tasting with select cold meats, handmade bread and organic cheeses. Cost: $ 500

Dos Búhos is a wine cellar located 6 kilometers from the city of San Miguel de Allende. The property has a past of more than 50 years of agricultural, fruit and livestock production that is now dedicated to wine production.

Tour: minimum 2 people. A complete trip through the process of making organic author wines. Cost per person: $ 485.


Viñedos San Lucas is the ideal place to relax, it has more than 8 kilometers of wooded country roads with spectacular views around a majestic lake. Although this place is properly a fractionation, it has a restaurant and a hotel, as well as some guided tours. It is located at km 26, Carr. Queretaro-San Miguel de Allende.

Tour: horseback riding through the property only for guests and diners from Friday to Sunday. Cost: $ 450.
