The National Seismological Service (SSN) declared that a magnitude 4.7 earthquake was registered on Wednesday July 3rd, at 01:09 AM, in Acapulco, Guerrero Mexico.
The SSN located the epicenter of the earthquake 18 kilometers southeast of Acapulco.
The agency noted that the tremor took place at a latitude of 16.72; a length of -99.84 and a depth of 11 kilometers.
According to reports on social networks, the earthquake was felt in some areas of Mexico City, but the seismic alert was not activated. The first reports given in Acapulco indicate that so far no casualties nor material damage have been reported in the area.
