San Miguel de Allende.- To preserve the most important traditions of the municipality, the Directorate of Culture and Traditions held a representative event of the Traditional Parade of “Desfile de Los Locos” with the outstanding participation of the paintings from the Park, the Tecolote, the Old Picture and the New Picture.
In attention to the health contingency, previously the municipal and ecclesiastical authorities held some meetings to establish agreements that would allow the invitation to be carried out safely, for which they defined a maximum of 35 people per group to participate.
The traditionalist and representative of the New Table, Patricio Espinoza, acknowledged and thanked the participants for their commitment to taking care of the recommended prevention measures and the priest Antonio González Lara for his enthusiasm.
He also pointed out that this small event is a tribute in memory of the people “who died from this pandemic, some other disease or some others who are sick and can no longer participate. Hopefully next year we can carry out the event with all our people who have always followed us and have never left us alone ”, he added.
The route of the traditional parade contemplated the streets Ancha de San Antonio, Zacateros, Canal, Hernández Macías, Insurgentes, Pepe Llanos, Mesones, Núñez and San Francisco, and back, until reaching the Parroquia de San Antonio where they concluded with a Eucharistic celebration.
