“Travel Lemming” Names Querétaro “Best place to travel in the world in 2022”.
Online travel guide celebrates emerging destinations, calling Querétaro “The New Mexican Napa Valley”
Denver, CO (December 21, 2021) Querétaro has been named the best place to travel in 2022, according to “Travel Lemming’s” annual list of emerging destinations.
The complete list of the 50 places to travel to can be found here.
Describing why Querétaro was chosen number one, the article points to the exuberant wine industry, along with “The incredible architecture and world-class restaurants in its capital city, Santiago de Querétaro.”
The list was compiled collaboratively by the 15 editors and writers of “Travel Lemming,” an online guide with more than a million annual readers in the United States and Canada. The popular annual list emphasizes destinations that are underrated or considered “hidden gems.”
This announcement comes on the heels of the inclusion of Querétaro in the “Condé Nast” list of the best 22 places to travel in 2022.
“Travel Lemming” Founder Nate Hake commented: “I have been traveling to Mexico for over a decade, and truly believe that Querétaro is without peer, the most underrated city in Mexico. The history, culture, architecture, art, nature, and wine of Querétaro will surprise you. The only thing that can be considered more surprising than that is that most international tourists have not yet realized what they are missing.”
Mr. Hake continued: “I think 2022 is going to be the year of explosion for the tourism sector in terms of international visitors. With direct flights to the United States and plenty to do outside, Querétaro is the perfect destination for North Americans and Canadians looking to get their feet wet again in international travel during this next phase of the pandemic.”
