Hilton announced the signing of the third property of the Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts brand in Mexico, the new Waldorf Astoria San Miguel de Allende, which is expected to open in early 2025 and will be a major attraction in what is known as “the best small city of the world”.
Waldorf Astoria San Miguel de Allende will offer 120 hotel rooms and 26 best-in-class Waldorf Astoria brand residences in the colonial city, known for its architecture, art scene and one of the most visited destinations internationally.
The governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, announced through social networks that the Hilton chain will invest close to 200 million US dollars, in addition to generating new jobs for the entity.
During the past year, the colonial city was classified for the sixth time as the best city in the world; San Miguel de Allende Guanajuato has positioned itself as one of the main colonial destinations in the country, it is privileged due to its location, it has a vast history, it has a firm interest in preserving Mexican traditions and culture, and it has attracted tourists worldwide for its architecture and vegetation.
