After concluding the 2023 Para Swimming World Championships in Manchester, where the Mexican national team achieved 13 medals – one gold, six silver, and six bronze – along with securing five spots for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, Fabiola Ramírez Martínez earned two bronze medals and an American record in the final of the S2 classification 100-meter backstroke, with a time of 2:31.66 minutes.
According to Conade (National Commission for Physical Culture and Sport), “the first medal I won is in my main event since Tokyo, and I also improved my time with an American record. This is very important to me, not only achieving the medal but also improving my results. I’ve been working hard for it since February, and I think the outcome was very good,” Fabiola Ramírez shared in an interview with the National Commission for Physical Culture and Sport (CONADE).
