The Municipal Government of San Mguel de Allende continues to strengthen the development of local athletes by opening more high-quality sports facilities.
On this occasion, the new professional-size field of the Municipal Soccer League was opened, in an event led by president Mauricio Trejo and accompanied by representatives and players of the league.
President Trejo expressed his satisfaction at seeing how the local soccer league is no longer an amateur competition and is dignified with quality facilities. He highlighted that this action would benefit more than one thousand soccer players and emphasized the importance of fulfilling the promises made to the community, both in the sporting field and in other aspects.
The investment made in this new sports complex exceeds 9 million pesos and includes the construction of a synthetic grass field, the installation of lighting, the rehabilitation of sanitary facilities and fences, as well as the placement of a metal fence around the whole perimeter. In addition, the construction of a cafeteria is planned to complement the services.
Both the referees and the representatives of the sports clubs praised the joint work between society and the government to achieve this important advance in local sports development. They highlighted the importance of having high-quality facilities that encourage the practice of sports and promote a healthy lifestyle among young people.
The opening of the La Estación field joins other sports spaces provided by the Municipal Government, such as the “Bosque Deportivo” and the 5-a-side soccer courts in different neighborhoods and communities around San Miguel.
These actions seek to promote sports and offer recreation opportunities for youth, thus contributing to better comprehensive development of the San Miguel community.
