An armed attack in Guanajuato leaves 7 dead and 3 injured on a San José de Mendoza golf course, in the municipality of Salamanca.

Seven dead in a shooting in Salamanca: Operation underway to capture the attackers.

A group of armed men attacked twelve people on the night of Sunday, March 16, 2025, at the multipurpose golf course in the San José de Mendoza community, in Salamanca, Guanajuato. The incident left seven dead. The events occurred around 7:50 p.m.

According to witnesses, several individuals got out of trucks and shot at the people on the course. The victims were members of families who lived there, including young people and teenagers who were at the recreational facilities. The attack was reported to have been a quick and coordinated event, after which the attackers fled.

Following calls to the 911 Emergency System, an operation was launched involving the National Guard, the Army, and Red Cross first responders.

The attack occurred in a public space where families from the community were spending time on Sunday. Authorities are continuing the operation to locate the perpetrators, who escaped after the incident.
