In 2020 and 2023, Ricardo sold properties on the Lázaro Cárdenas rural property without obtaining the necessary permits or ownership of the land.

The defendant Ricardo “N” was charged with real estate fraud against 29 citizens in the municipality of San Miguel de Allende.

In 2019, the promotion of a real estate development offering housing on the Lázaro Cárdenas rural property began.

However, between April 11, 2020, and May 31, 2023, Ricardo “N,” both directly and through his employees, sold said properties without obtaining the necessary permits or ownership of the land.

Upon realizing the deception, the 29 victims, along with the San Miguel de Allende municipal administration, filed a complaint with the authorities, revealing the irregular sale of homes within the “UNESCO Cities” project.

The specialized unit for the investigation of these types of crimes gathered sufficient evidence to prove Ricardo “N”‘s probable responsibility in these fraudulent acts.

As a result, he was arrested and brought before a judge, who has subjected him to criminal proceedings, which he will face in prison until the legal consequences of his criminal conduct are determined.
