From January to November 2017, the Coordination of Foreign Trade Promotion (Cofoce) recorded exports for 2.1 billion and 60.79 million dollars, 5.58% more than in the same period of 2016, that is, 1.1 billion US dollars more, in sectors such as automotive, auto parts, agroindustrial, metal-mechanics, among others.
The vehicle sector participated with 52.67% of total exports, followed by auto parts, with 28.04%; agroindustrial, with 6.02%, and metal-mechanical with 3.83%. 1,213 companies registered export activity, 37.9% of them, small; 29.1%, medium; 19.6%, microenterprises, and 13.4%, large.
Last year, during the January-November period, there were 33 municipalities that registered this activity, 72% of the state. Among the main exporters is Silao, with 59.5% of the total; followed by Salamanca, with 10.8%; Celaya, with 8.6%; Irapuato, with 7.6%, and León, with 3.19%.
Guanajuato exported to 129 countries, but the main destinations were the United States (78.36% of products), Canada (7.89%), Germany (1.74%), Poland (1.59%), among others.
