On Sunday, January 6, 10,000 barrels of gasoline allegedly started arriving in Querétaro every day to satisfy the fuel demand. The announcement was made by the state governor, Francisco Domínguez Servién, in reference to the affectations for lack of gasoline in Querétaro.
He explained that he has maintained close communication with Juan Martín Granados Torres, Secretary of Government, and Josafat Muñoz, deputy director of Storage and Dispatch of Pemex, in order to solve this problem.
President Andrés Manuel Lopez Obrador informed two days ago that the shortage is due to the operation implemented by the Federal Government to stop the theft of fuels.
As the state of Querétaro consumes an average of 10 thousand barrels of gasoline per day, Pemex announced that they will increase the distribution by up to 20% more through auto-tanks and vehicles to address the lack of fuel in the state.
