During the long weekend for the national holidays from September 14 to 17, the municipality of San Miguel de Allende collected 600 million pesos in economic income and one hundred percent hotel occupancy according to data from the municipal government.

According to official information, on the national weekend, San Miguel had a 60% increase in sales compared to the same period last year. In economic matters, the 600 million pesos in general economic benefit were exceeded.

The government also reported that there was a white balance in terms of security, with more than 150,000 tourists who lived on the national holidays in San Miguel territory.

The events began on Wednesday with the arrival of the Cavalcade of the Conspirators, which recalls the trip that Ignacio Pérez made in 1810 from Querétaro to the Villa de San Miguel el Grande to inform Ignacio Allende that the Conspiracy of Independence had just been discovered.
